Dr. Dawn Wilson is a native of New York City who moved to Atlanta in 2003. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania where she was a member of the varsity track team. After college, Dr. Wilson returned to NY to work as a social worker for AIDS patients for a year prior to entering medical school at Howard University. This was followed by an internship in general surgery at Georgetown U. Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Wilson returned to NY once again to complete a residency at Columbia University New York Presbyterian Hospital in anesthesiology and critical care medicine. Upon completion of a fellowship in obstetric anesthesia also at Columbia, Dr. Wilson moved to Atlanta and embarked on a career in ambulatory anesthesia. The fast pace of ambulatory anesthesia and the large variety of cases make for a very fulfilling career. Dr. Wilson, a founding partner of North Perimeter Anesthesia, LLC, currently lives with her daughter in Atlanta and is a competitive Latin ballroom dancer and avid runner.
